The same as the full machine cross stitch platinum (below) but operates with your existing Embird or BuzzTools - or can be used alone to produce DST format files. For use with Embird, you use "Insert DP Software" from Embird to start the program and the design is returned to Embird for conversion to the final file format. For use with BuzzTools, produce the DST file with the program (and automatically a colour file) then load this into BuzzTools which will also load the colour file and produce the final machine output file. This version is cheaper than the stand-alone product. Note it does NOT come with BuzzTools. You must own Embird or BuzzTools otherwise it will only produce DST format files. Neither of the machine programs produce printed charts so if you also need hand stitching charts you will need to purchase the hand program as well.

Machine Cross Stitch Platinum is a version of Cross Stitch Professional Platinum for embroidery machines. This version does NOT come with BuzzTools. This program can be used either with Embird or BuzzTools (both purchased separately) to produce machine files in various formats. It can also be used alone to produce Tajima (DST) format files.

The long stitch tool is used to add horizontal and vertical long stitches that have a rounded end. This allows two stitches to be placed end-to-end while allowing the starting and ending points to be seen.

The printout can either show these on a grid background or a plastic canvas style grid. The printed width can be varied to allow easy counting of the grid lines behind the stitches.

The full cross stitch is where each square on the chart represents a stitch in the form of a cross. The stitch can be made of a single thread colour or it can be a combination of two or 3 colours by blending strands from different colours. In the case of blended colours, the screen display shows the average colour.

The same tool is used to add stitches in Tapestry, knitting and beadwork - the only difference being the display mode used and the manufacturers colour range chosen. In this way, a design can be switched from cross stitch, tapestry, beadwork etc without redrawing.
