Edit and Add Colours
The colour range editor allows the manufacturers colour ranges to be viewed and altered. It is possible to create new colour ranges and adjust colours of existing ranges.

Any adjustments will take effect next time the program starts and any new colour ranges will be added automatically to the menus.

For those with access to colour measuring equipment, the colour range editor can import RGB colour values from ASCII text files. There is a special import for reading text files that originate from an Apple MAC computer although they must have been transfered to a PC compatible disk.

Care should be take with any adjustments made by eye since the factory values are measured and computer screens are not able to show colour to the degree of accuracy of the measured values. The value of measured values is that although some colours can't be displayed accurately by computer screens, any scanned image can still be accurately matched to give the correct thread number.

Cross Stitch Professional software for Windows can be used for converting photographs and clipart into cross stitch charts. It can also be used to design charts starting with a blank sheet. Charts can be produced complete with colour key, simulation of stitched result and thread organiser cards.

As well as the 3 versions of our cross stitch software + hand stitching, there are also a version designed for digitising for machine. The digitising process is completely automatic once the cross stitch design is entered by drawing or scanning.

The program features advanced tools such as layered objects, despeckling, smoothing, shape drawing etc.

Image importing features sophisticated colour reduction and matching and is not a simple majority colour reduction. Manufacturers colour ranges have been measured accuratley using a spectrophotometer to ensure matching between screen colours and the finished stitched result.

The Plus and Publisher versions include export capability including huge image export and pdf creation without the need for additional pdf creation software.

French knots can be added in the same colours as cross stitches and at any grid position. The displayed size can be changed to suit personal preferences.
